$250 Initial Consultation: 60 min

During these sessions, we focus on resolving fears and anxieties that may hinder your dog's well being and happiness. Behaviors such as reactivity, resource guarding, leash pulling, stranger-danger etc. not only affect the life of the dog, but often negatively affect the pet guardian as well. In our training sessions we work hard to repair the damage these behaviors cause to the relationship between dog and guardian teaching both tools to successfully navigate challenging situations.

This comprehensive program is designed for dogs that are extremely anxious, have snapped or bitten at another dog or human or dogs that are fighting in the home. If you are unsure whether your dog and or situation fall under this category feel free to contact me with more details. In some cases, a Virtual Initial Consultation is more appropriate and stress free for the dog involved.

For many fearful, anxious, reactive dogs, Virtual Consultations are more effective in that the dog is not stressed by a stranger entering their home environment and then being asked to learn new things.

Virtual Consultations are always accompanied with video demonstrations and informational handouts in a post consult email report.

A Word From

Past Clients

  • Lily is an absolutely knowledgeable and amazing trainer. She helped us with our extremely anxious rescue pup when we first got him, and did such a great job teaching us about his disposition, from how to respect his boundaries to recommending to see a vet behaviorist early on in our journey. Everything she helped us with was instrumental in our pups progress -- we can't thank her enough!

  • Lily has helped us so much. I have a much better UNDERSTANDING of our dogs and their behavior now. We're using positive methods to train them rather than corrections and our dogs are so much happier. One of our dogs who seemed scared and withdrawn during training when we started has changed so much. Lily taught us to read them better and now he is more engaged and affectionate. He's smiling, waggy and attention seeking. He's happy to train, no more running away and even comes in from the backyard when called!!

  • Lily is an amazing trainer! I cannot overstate how much she helped my partner and I and our 5 chihuahua. Our dog is a rescue with a sad past and healed traumatic injuries. Needless to say our dog had been nervous and unfriendly around pretty much everyone besides me and my partner. I had been putting off hiring a trainer for three years because I thought I could just read a bunch of dog training books and learn that way. (Spoiler alert: It was not enough). We finally decided to hire a trainer and luckily we found Lily. We bought the 3 session pack and within those three lesson over a few months our dog is happier, more confident, and more friendly. Lily taught us how to see things from our dog’s perspective and helped us change up our routine and adopt some simple new habits. We can actually leave the house for a few hours and our dog remains calm! 100 stars. We’ll definitely be coming back for more check-in sessions in the future.”

  • “Lily is a gifted dog trainer and I am privileged to know her. She is knowledgeable, conscientious and kind. She created a comprehensive training program to address our dog’s fear of strangers and anxiety triggers. Lily also provided daily walks to help reinforce this training and explained her methods to us in a clear way. I highly recommend My Dog Spot!”

  • Lily is absolutely amazing. I used other trainers to work with my high energy Malinois pup (3 years old), but Lily was the first to come up with very effective solutions to various behavioral issues. She works with dogs on a behavioral level – she’s very intuitive and aware of what dogs need emotionally so they can respond to their environment appropriately. She doesn’t subscribe to the dominance/leader of the pack approach, but works with dogs holistically observing what they require to be ‘good dogs’. She is wonderful with both my dogs and also very easy to work with for us humans too! I highly recommend her training services. My pup is doing so much better with walking on the leash, being near other dogs, staying calm when someone comes to the door, and just in general relaxing into the love bug that he is!”

  • Lily has been a godsend for me and my rescue basset hound, Sebastian. We've done an in-person session and a virtual session. Her tactics have helped tremendously with him on a leash and she had so much compassion for me when I cried for nearly an hour straight about some separation anxiety. She's both a dog trainer and dog mom therapist! Basset hounds are notoriously tricky to train and I've fallen down the various internet rabbit holes and was just so confused. She provides thorough training tools and send a very comprehensive post-meeting summary that I refer to nearly every day. I highly recommend Lily!! She cares for both you and your pup.

Lily is a fantastic trainer! She is gentle but firm with our corgis and they immediately fell in love with her. We hired Lily three years ago with our first corgi who had confidence issues with walking around the neighborhood (pandemic puppy). After a few training sessions with Lily and doing the homework, our corgi now walks 2+ miles all around the neighborhood with no problem. We've hired Lily again for our second corgi, who has trouble with nervousness and being a bit of a bully to our older dog. Just in the consultation she gave us great tips that have already been helping just after 3 days. Our second corgi is already more relaxed in general and is listening more than he used to when we recall him away from pushing our other dog around. We'll meet with Lily again to help us with his reactivity in a few weeks and are looking forward to it!
